KCAC Pet of the Week: Taurus

Tecla Metzel of Kane County Animal Control 9/1/2024 6:00AM

His name is Taurus and he's a little kitten with a large personality, sometimes stubborn, but always the life of the party. He definitely fits the traits of the zodiac sign he's named after.

He and his siblings were found in someone's backyard, so he might be a little shy when he first meets a new person. True to his astrological sign, he also might take his time in sizing them up, but once he makes his decision that it's all okay, this 4-month-old, brown and white Domestic Shorthair is in for the long haul. That's when he can finally let his play baby side come out as he leads the pack in playtime.

His personality is contagious as he plays with his siblings who are all named after zodiac signs. He's the kitten that stands out the most among all of them and the only one with his distinct coloring.

A born leader, Taurus' brothers and sisters seek him out to follow him. If the agenda for the day is jumping into a monkey pile, then Taurus is the one on top! When it's sleep time, Taurus never sleeps alone if his siblings are around.

He's smart, agile, fun-loving with a side of careful reserve usually seen in older cats. He seems to know when it's time to have fun and when it's time to settle down.

Taurus is the kitten that has it all!
