Three Kane County Communities Tapped for EV Charging Station Upgrades

Batavia, Elgin and Geneva are among selected communities statewide to share $7.1 million in federal funding to fix electric vehicle chargers available to the public. The funding was made possible through the Federal Highway Administration's Electric Vehicle Charger Reliability and Accessibility Program.

The EV charging station locations in Kane County include:

• Government Center at Batavia Riverwalk
  
• Delnor Hospital South Lot and Doctor's Lot in Geneva
  
• Grand Victoria Parking in Elgin
  

​The grant will repair, replace or upgrade an estimated 93 Level 2 ports and 34 Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) ports at various locations throughout the state. Read the State of Illinois press release here​.
