Bigfoot lives! Okay, well, we’re actually not talking about the large hairy ape-like creature occasionally spotted throughout the country over the last 100 years.    Bigfoot2.jpg

We’re talking about the little baby kitten brought to KCAC along with his brother, who also was given the name of an infamous red-eyed winged creature who we won’t mention because it’s irrelevant for this article!

Although both of these beings are based on urban myths, their names live on, at least at KCAC, attached to the cutest stray kittens anyone could ever see. Bigfoot, a neutered male, white and brown tabby Domestic Shorthair, is about 5-months-old.

Found in a barn with his sibling, Bigfoot was a little scared when he first arrived at KCAC. He has since come out of his shell and is now finding out how to live life as a kitten, at least a kitten living in a shelter waiting for his fur-ever family to come find him! He runs when a walk would work just fine.

He jumps with his entire body, twisting a little before he hits his mark. His baby blue eyes are like small pools of water, clear, hypnotizing, almost as though you could wade right into them.

Bigfoot isn’t shy about letting everyone know how his day is going. The volume of his vocals definitely surprises anyone who hears him. If you have a quiet home, this little guy will definitely fill up the silent spaces with his chatter.

He gets along well with other cats and kittens. When the time comes for him to relax, whenever that might be, he generally enjoys a pet or two.

And, of course, the symbolism of Bigfoot and his sibling living in a barn prior to getting turned over to KCAC is not lost on us during this holiday season. Perhaps there was some divine intervention working for these two kittens, or perhaps it’s just another coincidence, another urban myth.
