Ceremonial events to honor our nation’s veterans will take place across Kane County on Tuesday, November 11, along with special services and community programs.

  • AuroraAurora Veterans Day Parade
    Time: 10:15 a.m. – Noon
    Location: Downtown Aurora, Water St. and Downer Place to the Grand Army of the Republic Military Museum

  • CarpentersvilleCarpentersville Veterans Day Ceremony
    Time: 11 a.m.
    Location: Carpenter Park Veterans Memorial

  • ElginElgin Veterans Day Ceremony
    Time: 11 a.m.
    Location: Heritage Ballroom, 100 Symphony Way

  • North AuroraNorth Aurora Veterans Day Ceremony
    Time: 11 a.m.
    Location: Veterans Memorial (Farview and Willow Way)

  • St. CharlesSt. Charles Veterans Day Ceremony
    Time: 10:30 a.m.
    Location: St. Charles Fire Department (Fire Station #1, 112 N. Riverside Ave.)

  • St. CharlesSt. Charles North High School Veterans Day Celebration Concert
    Time: 6 p.m.; pre-concert reception for veterans at 5 p.m.
    Location: St. Charles North High School Auditorium, 255 Red Gate Rd.

  • Huntley – Veterans Day Collection and Ceremony
    Date: Nov. 8, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.; ceremony at 11 a.m.
    Location: Huntley Town Square/Veterans Memorial
    Notes: Volunteers will collect needed items on Coral Street.

  • Hampshire – Salute to Veterans
    Date: Nov. 7 at 8:30 a.m.
    Location: Hampshire Middle School

  • Batavia – Emagine Movie Event for Veterans
    Date: Nov. 11
    Notes: Free movie for veterans and a guest (ID required); in-person only

  • Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry – Free Drive-Thru Food Distribution for Veterans
    Date: Nov. 8, 10 a.m. – Noon

  • Gail Borden Public Library – Veterans Voices
    Date: Nov. 10–12, 2025
    Notes: Volunteer veterans share personal stories with students and the community. Interested speakers can sign up online.

  • AMVETS Post 103 (Aurora) – Free Lunch for Veterans and Active Military
    Date: Nov. 11, 12–2 p.m.
    Notes: Veterans and active military eat free; others may purchase lunch ($10 adults, $6 kids 12 & under)
