On August 8, 2023, the Kane County Board approved a Responsible Bidder Ordinance 23-340 which requires additional information and documentation from responders bidding on public works construction projects. Kane County has since created a web address for vendors to become pre-qualified before bidding on Public Works construction projects if desired.

In accordance with Kane County Ordinance No. 23-340, a Contractor that is actively classified as “pre-qualified" or “qualified" by the Purchasing Department is exempt from the comprehensive submission requirements and is not required to submit a Responsible Bidder Requirements Form.

Below is the hyperlink to the web address for vendors to become pre-qualified to do business with the County.  If the application is approved, it is valid for three years.
