Kane County Sheriff’s Office Warns of Jury Duty Scam
The Kane County Sheriff's Office has been made aware of a scam involving jury duty, where scammers call citizens claiming they have missed jury duty using Kane County deputy names and telephone numbers. The scammers inform citizens that they will be arrested unless they comply with specific instructions and provide money.
As a reminder, the Kane County Sheriff's Office will never contact citizens via telephone and threaten them with arrest for missing jury duty without proper notification through the court system. We will also never ask for money!
Do not fall for this scam, even if the scammers use real Kane County deputy names and telephone numbers. If you have questions about missing jury duty or not receiving a jury selection questionnaire, please contact the Kane County Jury Commission:
