Kane County Connects is launching a new series spotlighting local farms awarded grants through the County’s 2024 Food and Farm Resiliency Program. Funded by the federal American Rescue Plan, the program supports farmers as they continue to rebound from pandemic-related challenges and strengthen the region’s food system. Each story will highlight how local farms are using grant funds to grow their operations and build community connections. The series begins June 3 with Garlic Breath Farm in Elburn. Whether you're a farmers’ market regular or just starting to explore local food, this series offers a fresh look at the people and farms that make Kane County a leader in Illinois agriculture.
