Kane County Installs New Multi-Way Stop at Burlington Road and Silver Glen Road in Campton Hills

The Kane County Division of Transportation (KDOT) will post new signage and activate an overhead flashing beacon for a new multi-way stop at the intersection of Burlington Road and Silver Glen Road in the Village of Campton Hills. The new multi-way stop is anticipated to be activated at approximately 10:00 a.m. on January 30, 2025, weather permitting.

 

The new multi-way stop and overhead flashing beacon are being installed at this location as a safety enhancement. In the days leading up to January 30th, KDOT will be deploying message boards to alert motorists of the coming change. Also, supplemental signage and warning flags will also be posted for the first several weeks to call special attention to the new configuration.

 

Motorists traveling on Burlington Road should anticipate the need to stop at Silver Glen Road and exercise caution when approaching the intersection.​

Motorists should expect delays while traveling through the work areas, consider alternate routes and expect additional commute time. Motorists are asked to reduce their speed, watch for construction workers and vehicles entering and leaving the site and obey flaggers and traffic control devices. It is illegal to talk or text on a cell phone while driving.
