Kane County Clerk's Office Launches Student Election Judge Challenge for High Schools

Kane County Connects Staff 6/1/2026 2:00PM

High school juniors and seniors across Kane County are invited to participate in a countywide high school competition to help recruit student election judges for the 2026 General Election.

Each school year, Kane County Clerk, John A. Cunningham sends Election Dept. staff members to local high schools to present voting information and recruit student judges.

“Educating and engaging young people is vital to the future of elections," according to Cunningham.

This year, the Kane County Clerk's Office Election Department is challenging Kane County high schools to see which school can onboard the most student election judges ahead of Election Day on Nov. 3, 2026.

The high school with the most student judges serving on Election Day will be announced on Nov. 18, 2026. The winning high school will receive a special award from the County Clerk Cunningham, and countywide recognition.
