Kane County Clerk’s Office Conducts Lottery for Party Ballot Placement

On April 29, at 9:00 AM, the Office of Kane County Clerk John A. Cunningham held a lottery to determine party ballot placement of the Republican and Democratic candidates running for county office for the November 3, 2026 general election.

Chief Deputy Clerk Celeste Weilandt along with Elections Director Raymond Esquivel, conducted the lottery process for those present.  Democrat representative, Ed Hanson was present.  No Republican representative was present for the lottery.  The Democrat party was chosen and will be first on the ballot.
