Kane County Animal Control Pet of the Week -Q-Tip
“A black cat passing by the crossroad can stop hundreds of people, which a red light on a traffic signal has failed to do for a long time." – Nitya Prakash, author, banker, software engineer, motivational speaker
He's named after a cotton swab attached to a flexible paper or plastic stick.
Okay, perhaps the naming elf was on lunch that day or out of the office or better yet, getting his ears cleaned, which would make total sense for coming up with this cat's name. So, there!
It doesn't really matter, though, because nothing can take away from the fact that Q-Tip is, in every sense of the word, a very handsome 1-year-11-month-old black neutered male cat.
Once adopted from KCAC when he was a mere tiny black ball of fur, he has since been returned to KCAC through no fault of his own.
He's the full package of good looks, great personality, sweet disposition and just all-around loving nature, even after all that he has been put through.
Although he's a bit more subdued than when he was originally brought here as a stray, he hasn't totally lost his innocence or his overall trust of humans. He even enjoys giving head butts.
Better yet, spend some time giving him pets and scritches and watch him melt into a pool of cuddles.
Q-Tip enjoys languishing around the shelter, giving off all kinds of “come-pet-me" vibes. Try walking away from him and you will want to go back to give him more hugs because he's so soft and gentle, almost like a…cotton swab.
