Kane County Animal Control Adoptable Pet of the Week - Ray

KCAC's Adorable, Adoptable Pet of the Week is written by Tecla Metzel of Kane County Animal Control. 10/8/2023 2:00PM

A dog can show you more honest affection with a flick of his tail than a man can gather through a lifetime of handshakes." Gene Hill, author, nature-related books & magazines

His name is Ray and he's a handsome boy with the sweetest personality that match his good looks.

With his red and white markings and his captivating blue eyes, it's almost unfathomable that this beautiful creature could become a stray and somehow wind up in a shelter.

But here he is, this neutered, 3-year-old Siberian Husky that looks at you with expectations that may be far above your abilities.

He's a Siberian husky, after all, and he's an untamed one at that. He's had very little training, but once he gets some, he will be the dog of a lifetime!    Ray_Husky2.jpg

Ray is the kind of dog that will be by your side on all of your outdoor escapades, from playful romps in the yard to long walks in all types of weather on trails only he and you have discovered.

He loves being with humans, but he's not all that thrilled with toys or other dogs. Toys bore him. And if he could howl his preference, it would be living in a one-dog household with him as the one and only dog. That way, he can go on adventures with his humans without the competition!

Ray is an active, handsome, and loving dog willing to spend his life by your side for all of life's journeys!

Are you up for the challenge?

KCAC Updates

Congratulations to Squash, the very shy 4-month-old male Domestic Shorthair that came to KCAC as a stray. His new family fell in love with him right off the bat. They couldn't wait to take him home so they could shower him with all the toys he ever dreamed about as well as all the love they could muster. We are so happy for you, Squash!  Your best life is finally here!
