Kane County Pet of the Week - Sparkles and Fury

“The cat is above all things, a dramatist." – Margaret Benson, English author (June 16, 1865 – May 13, 1916)

You wouldn't think Sparkles and Fury are related just by looking at them, but these felines are definitely biological brother and sister.

Both are 12-years-old, or equivalent to 64 in human years, which is considered senior.

Unfortunately, Sparkles and Fury aren't human, they're just cats. When their owner surrendered them due to reasons beyond their control, all they could do was make the best of the situation. At least they were relinquished together. At least they could still be with each other.

Sparkles has settled in to the shelter and is showing signs of her diva-ness. With her medium hair flowing like a lion's mane around her face and neck, she crosses her delicate paws over one another and will cock her head in such a way as if to say, “The princess will see you now."    sparklespretty.jpg

She enjoys napping near her brother. When the mood strikes her, she will roll over to get pets. You may begin to realize that you're getting manipulated, and everything seems to be on her terms, but that's quite fine because has such a great personality.

Fury is a little larger than Sparkles, but he is definitely a gentle soul.       Fury1.jpg
