Kane County Animal Control Pet of the Week - Adoption Successes

Kane County Animal Control continues to celebrate the successful adoption of some of the community’s most deserving animals—pets who have found their forever homes after enduring uncertain and often unkind experiences. Several of these heartwarming stories, including those of Fennec, Labubu, and Sweet Potato, have been featured in Kane County Connects.

A special thanks goes to Kane County’s Tecla Metzel, who writes a weekly Kane County Connects feature highlighting an “Adorable, Adoptable Pet of the Week.” Her stories help shine a light on the many animals still waiting for their chance at a loving home.​

How to Adopt

All Kane County Animal Control adoptable cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccines including rabies. They are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and heartworm.

The adoption fee for dogs is $200 and $100 for cats. Adoption of two dogs is $300 and it is $150 to adopt two cats.
