Maddie Bozik received recognition from the Kane County Board for her efforts to provide warm clothing for those in need through her charity, Maddie's Mitten March. Founded when Maddie was just 10 years old, the 501(c)(3) organization has grown from a simple mitten drive to provide classmates without cold weather items to a large-scale initiative distributing winter clothing across Kane County and five other counties.

In December, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Management held a coat drive in support of Maddie's Mitten March, collecting over 200 coats, gloves, hats, and scarves in just three hours. Maddie expressed her gratitude to Kane County for their ongoing support in helping families stay warm this winter.

Maddie's Mitten March utilizes two buses to collect, store, and distribute donations. To learn more or get involved, visit www.mittenmobile.com.
