Enjoy Illinois Magazine Dives into Kane County's Fox River Communities
State and regional tourism officials gathered recently to launch the new edition of Enjoy Illinois magazine, featuring the Fox River Valley as a premier tourism destination. The event was held at The Wilds at Red Oak in North Aurora, where attendees got the first look at the fall/winter 2024-2025 issue of the state’s biannual tourism publication.
The cover showcases a beautiful drone image taken above the Fabyan Forest Preserve in Geneva, highlighting the area’s vibrant fall foliage along the Fox River.
The issue includes a feature by Fox Valley tastemaker Molly Jackson-Schultz, offering her top recommendations for exploring the area. She highlights Society 57 in Aurora, Hardware Gastropub in North Aurora, and Heritage Prairie Farm in Elgin as her favorite dining spots. For activities, she recommends biking along the Fox River with Geneva’s Mill Race Cyclery or enjoying a cruise on a St. Charles Paddlewheel Riverboat.
Jackson-Schultz also suggests Hotel Baker in St. Charles and The Herrington Inn and Spa in Geneva as ideal places to stay for visitors seeking a weekend getaway combining small-town charm with urban appeal.
The magazine’s new edition promotes the region as an emerging hotspot, drawing attention to its recreational opportunities, culinary scene, and unique local businesses.
The new issue of Enjoy Illinois is available online at EnjoyIllinois.com, where readers can view or download the fall/winter edition.
