Community Reinvestment: Grand Victoria Riverboat Fund Applications Now Available
The Kane County Office of Community Reinvestment has opened applications for the 2025 Grand Victoria Riverboat fund grant program. The Kane County Board has allocated $1,066,613 to support projects that strengthen local communities and enhance the quality of life for residents.
The Grand Victoria Riverboat Fund provides gap funding annually for initiatives addressing education, the environment, and economic development. Non-profit organizations and units of local government are eligible to apply.
Applications must be submitted through the county's web-based portal, hosted by ZoomGrants. The submission deadline is midnight on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Proposals will be evaluated based on their ability to meet community needs, leverage additional funding, readiness for implementation, and overall impact and urgency. Kane County Office of Community Reinvestment staff are available to assist with questions about application procedures, project eligibility, and the Grand Victoria Riverboat Fund.
Since the program's launch in 1997, Kane County has received $170,831,807 from the Grand Victoria Casino, with peak annual revenue exceeding $12 million in 2002. This year, the county anticipates receiving $5,116,618. Last year, the Kane County Board awarded $1,019,800 to 32 external projects.
