Kane County Pet of the Week - Trombone
“Cats don't like change without their consent." – Roger A. Caras, author of animal & nature books and an animal welfare activist
She's funny, energetic, daring and playful, everything a kitten should be.
On occasion, she will stare deeply into her visitor's eyes as though asking the questions, “Will you take me home?" “Can I live with you?"
Her name is Trombone and she is a spayed brown and white Domestic Shorthair, only 14-weeks-old. A mere baby, a kitten with a face that looks as though she might burst into an ugly cry at any minute. Instead, she climbs onto your lap and falls asleep after playing a very wicked game of “jump on the other kitten in the room!"
Some might think there's no way she could or should have been a stray, she's too young, too small, too vulnerable. How could that have happened to such a brave little kitten and her sisters?
Unfortunately, there is no evidence of her or her sibling's previous life. We don't know why they were left or how they survived as long as they did. The good news is that her siblings, all named after brass horn instruments, found their forever homes.
And now it's Trombone's turn to “slide" into someone's heart and finally get a home.
