Five Kane County Veterans Among Recipients at Soldier Field Car Giveaway

Earlier this month, at Soldier Field, six fully refurbished vehicles were donated to deserving veterans as part of Midas's nationwide Project Spark initiative.

The company worked with the Kane County Veterans Assistance Commission to identify veterans in need of reliable transportation. Five of the six recipients were from Kane County.

​The recipients included:
• James Church (Kane County) – A single father of three and highly decorated Army combat veteran who served in Iraq.
• Amy Bergeron (Kane County) – A single mom of six who served in the U.S. Army; her eldest child is currently serving in the U.S. Navy.
• Jason Shanahan (Kane County) – A disabled veteran who served as an E-4 Specialist in the U.S. Army.
• Jacob Frascona (Kane County) – A distinguished Marine who served honorably for four years in multiple capacities.
• Robert “Tyler" Misla (Kane County) – A dedicated single father of two who served five years in the U.S. Army, including a deployment to Iraq.
• Joe Vaghetto – An Italian immigrant who served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist 4 Tech.
