Kane County Honors Departing Board members for their Service

The Kane County Board bid farewell to four esteemed members, and thanked them for their contributions and lasting legacies to Kane County.
Mark Davoust, representing District 14, dedicated an impressive 20 years to the board from 2004 to 2024, his leadership shaping policies and initiatives that benefited the community.
Mike Kenyon, representing District 16, leaves a legacy of 18 years of service from 2006 to 2024. His expertise in farming and agriculture provided invaluable guidance, making a lasting impact on Kane County residents.
Ron Ford served District 6 for over 11 years—first from 2008 to 2015, and then from 2020 to 2024. His focus on job creation and economic development enriched county discussions and decisions.
Monica Silva, representing District 7 since 2010, is stepping down as she transitions to her new role as Kane County Coroner-elect, based on unofficial vote totals. During her tenure, Silva used her medical background to advocate for public health and family issues. Her term expires in 2026, and an appointment will be made to fill her remaining time.
