Kane County Board Committee Assignments Approved

Kane County Board members have voted to approve committee assignments for 2023-24. The County has 13 standing committees that address issues ranging from finance, public safety, jobs, transportation to public health.

Members of each committee, with the help of department heads and staff,  assist the County Board in examining issues that may come before the full board. Committee members gather information, consider issues or projects and make recommendations.  Those recommendations go to the Executive committee, which in turn reviews the recommendations and moves items onto the full County Board for final approval.  Some items go before more than one committee including requests for funding or the purchase of equipment. 

Board Members also approved Vern Tepe, from County Board District 22, as the Vice Chair of the Board.
