Kane County Launches “Name The Plow” Contest

Kane County is inviting residents to help give its snowplow fleet some personality this winter with the launch of the County's Name That Plow contest.

Residents are encouraged to submit their most creative, clever, or winter-themed snowplow names—think “Sir Plows-a-Lot," “Frosty the Roadman," or anything that brings a smile on a snowy day. The top three winning names will be proudly displayed on Kane County snowplows operating throughout the winter season.

Winners will also be invited to take an exclusive tour of the Kane County Division of Transportation's winter operations.

How to Enter

1. Come up with a fun or snow-inspired name.
2. Email your submission to kanecountyconnects@kanecountyil.gov.
   
   Contest Timeline

• Submission Deadline: December 15, 2025
• Winners Announced: January 7, 2026, at the Kane County Board Executive Committee meeting

This lighthearted contest gives residents a chance to add some fun to winter while recognizing the vital work of the road crews at the Kane County Division of Transportation.   ​
