Kane County Representative to Lead Metra Board

Joe McMahon, former Kane County State's Attorney, has been chosen to be the next Chairman of the Metra Board. The 11-member Board of Directors, composed of representatives from the six-county Chicago metropolitan area and meets monthly to address issues concerning Metra's operations and future plans. He was appointed to the Board by Kane County in 2021. McMahon takes over as Chariman of the Metra Board on Nov. 1. ​
