Kane County Pet of the Week - Purse

She's definitely not a cat's cat.
In other words, she doesn't like other felines.
At All!
However, she does enjoy the company of just about everyone else, namely, kids, men and women. And she certainly loves getting pets from as many people as possible.
Her name is Purse. Not 'Coin' or 'Change' or 'Clutch'. Just…Purse.
It might seem like a silly name to give a 1-year-7-month-old spayed female brown tabby Domestic Shorthair, but it definitely sets her apart from all the others. Her black stripes give her a sleek, classic feline persona and the small dabs of orange around her face make her look as though someone took the time to add a bit of rouge to her cheeks.
Her face is idyllic, almost serene in a way. When she stares at you with green eyes so wide, it seems as though she's trying to let whoever happens to be in the same room with her know that she is an independent soul. She doesn't need to be around people, but she certainly won't say no to getting a few cuddles along the way.
Despite her diminutive status, Purse loves to play and is willing to spend time with people if they try to engage her.
From a stray to a shelter and, finally, we can only hope, to a forever home where Purse is ready and willing to open up her heart and soul to her next adventures.

All Kane County Animal Control adoptable cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccines including rabies. They are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and heartworm.
The adoption fee for dogs is $200 and $100 for cats. Adoption of two dogs is $300 and it is $150 to adopt two cats.
