Funding Opportunity for Kane County Community Reinvestment
Kane County is once again investing in projects that make a meaningful difference for residents. The Kane County Office of Community Reinvestment has opened applications for the 2026 Grand Victoria Riverboat Fund, with $831,687 available to support initiatives that enhance quality of life across the county.
Each year, the Grand Victoria Riverboat Fund provides critical gap funding for projects focused on education, environmental stewardship, and economic development. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations and units of local government working to address local needs and create lasting community impact.
Applications must be submitted through the county’s online portal, ZoomGrants, accessible via the Kane County website. The deadline to apply is midnight on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Proposals will be evaluated based on their ability to meet community needs, leverage additional funding, demonstrate readiness to move forward, and deliver measurable impact. The Office of Community Reinvestment is available to assist applicants with questions about eligibility, project requirements, and the application process.
Since the program began in 1997, Kane County has received more than $175.7 million in revenue from the Grand Victoria Casino, helping fund projects throughout the county. While annual revenue peaked at over $12 million in 2002, the county received $4.89 million in casino revenue for 2026. A portion of those funds continues to be reinvested locally each year.
In 2025, the Kane County Board awarded more than $1 million to 26 external projects, continuing a long-standing commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen communities countywide.
