The newsletters in your inbox. The social media updates in your feed. The event notices, road closure alerts and the urgent messages during a crisis.    training 1.jpg

Behind each of those communications is a dedicated professional working to ensure the public receives clear, accurate and timely information from their local government.

Recently, communications and public information professionals from across Kane County came together to strengthen the work they do every day. The group gathered to discuss best practices, share success stories, and learn from one another, while also taking part in a focused presentation on preparing to communicate with the public during a crisis.

Clear messaging, factual updates, and timely delivery can reduce confusion, build trust and help residents make informed decisions.

Training and practice are essential parts of that responsibility. Regular collaboration and professional development help ensure communications and public information offices across Kane County remain prepared.
