Kane County Stars Take the Dance Floor for CASA Kane County

Kane County is cheering on Kane County Chief Judge Robert K. Villa and Kane County Sheriff's Officer Gabe Perez as they take the dance floor at the inaugural Dancing with the Local Stars, a special evening benefiting CASA Kane County.

Inspired by the hit television competition, the event will feature 12 local celebrities showing off their dance moves, along with audience voting, plenty of laughs and friendly competition—all in support of children who have experienced abuse and neglect.

Chief Judge Villa was appointed Associate Judge in April 2013. On December 17, 2018, the Illinois Supreme Court appointed him Circuit Judge, and he was later elected to the position in November 2020. Now, Judge Villa is trading the courtroom for the ballroom to support CASA Kane County and the children it serves.

Gabe Perez has served with the Kane County Sheriff’s Office for 13 years. Last August, he partnered with his trusty therapy dog, Casper, and the dynamic duo has been bringing energy and fun to the community ever since.  As a self-proclaimed “funk master,” he is ready to get groovy on the dance floor.
