Celebrating the Retirement of Zahida Fakroddin — 36 Years of Service to Kane County
After 36 years of dedicated service, Zahida Fakroddin will retire from the Kane County Clerk’s Office at the end of October. To honor her remarkable career, an open house for staff and county employees will be held on October 30, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Kane County Clerk’s Office, Building B.
Zahida began her career with Kane County in August 1989, working under three County Clerks — Lorraine Sava, Bernadine Murphy, and Jack Cunningham. She first joined the Tax Extension Department before moving into the role of Accountant, a position she’s held ever since.
Reflecting on her career, Zahida shared that her job has “evolved a lot with new technology,” which kept her work engaging and fulfilling. Over the years, she built lasting relationships across county departments and met “a lot of wonderful people” she will truly miss.
As she looks ahead to retirement, Zahida says she’s looking forward to spending more quality time with her family and friends — a well-earned reward after more than three decades of public service.
