Kane County Places Draft FY2027 Budget on Public Display
The Kane County Board has approved placing the County's draft Fiscal Year 2027 budget on public display, marking the next step in the annual budget process.
State law requires counties to make proposed budgets available for public inspection at least 15 days before final adoption. The draft FY2027 budget will remain on display ahead of the County Board's expected vote in August, when board members will consider its adoption before the new fiscal year begins on Dec. 1, 2026.
The balanced budget was recommended by the Finance Committee on June 24 before advancing to the Executive Committee, which reviewed the proposal and forwarded it to the County Board.
The draft budget will be available for public review during the required 15-day inspection period on the Kane County website. Printed copies also will be available in the Kane County Board Office and the Kane County Clerk's Office. Both offices are located on the Kane County Government Center campus at 719 S. Batavia Ave, Geneva.
