Kane County Board Pet of the Week - Beefy Burrito
“I guess you don't really own a dog, you rent them, and you have to be thankful that you had a long lease." – Joe Garagiola, professional baseball catcher, radio & television personality
All it takes is one look at him and you're hooked.
His face is all kinds of silly looking with a crooked smile, an occasional protruding snaggle-tooth when he tries to smile and tiny little eyes that give him an expression as though he's just heard the most unbelievable news ever!
If he could talk, his first response after hearing about that most unbelievable news ever would consist of, “Really? Like, OMG!"
His name is Beefy Burrito and he's as sweet-tempered as they come. He may not be the brightest water bowl on the patio, but he's too adorable to not have a place in someone's heart.
Unfortunately, his loveable smushy face couldn't stop his owner's landlord from instituting a no-pet policy. All of a sudden, this 9-month-old, neutered fawn and white Pit Bull Terrier no longer had the security of a forever home.
He enjoys a stuffie or two during play-time. If he's left alone with one, he will rip it to shreds, but he will allow someone to remove it from his mouth with no quarrel.
This beefy-boy seemingly gets along with everyone—men, women, even other dogs! He listens to commands, willingly attempts to perform them, takes corrections well and walks easily on a leash although he pulls a little.
His new family is going to definitely enjoy taking him to training so everyone can learn together! As long as he gets a bunch of pets afterwards, he's doesn't mind, he's all in!
Beefy Burrito didn't deserve to lose his people at such a young age. However, he's grabbed the hearts and souls of staff members here at KCAC who want nothing more than for him to enjoy the rest of his life in the embrace of a wonderful, perfect family that will hug him, love him, train him and kiss his adorable smushy face every day of the rest of his brand-new life!
