Two Kane County Hospitals Make List of Best in Illinois

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin and Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva are listed among the 20 best hospitals in U.S. News and World Report's “America’s Best Hospitals.”
Advocate Sherman was ranked the 11th Best Regional Hospital in Illinois and received high-performing rankings in six specialties: Gastroenterology and GI Surgery, Geriatrics, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Pulmonology and Lung Surgery and Urology.
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Advocate Sherman team throughout another challenging year of the COVID-19 pandemic,” shared Sheri De Shazo, President of Advocate Sherman. “I am proud of the safe, quality care our team provides to the patients and communities we serve.”
Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital was ranked the 20th Best Regional Hospital in Illinois and received high-performance rankings in Orthopedics for back surgery and hip fractures. The facility was also given high performance rankings in Cardiology and Heart Surgery, Pulmonology and Lung Surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery and Nephrology procedures.

Northwestern Memorial and Rush University Medical Center made U.S. News and World Report's Honor Roll, which highlights the top 20 hospitals in the country. Northwestern Memorial ranked No. 9 and Rush was ranked No. 20 on the list.
