The Kane County Board this week introduced Jamie Lobrillo as the new executive director of human resources.
Lobrillo rejoined the county two years ago, and for the last six months has been working as the interim HR director.
“Jamie has proven herself as a strong leader, quickly establishing trusted relationships with staff, County Board members and vendors,” said Kane County Madam Chairwoman Corinne Pierog. “Her broad experience in the many aspects of human resources will greatly contribute to a healthy work environment. We are fortunate to have Jamie’s talents at work for us on a permanent basis.”
As executive director of human resources, Lobrillo will continue her role in managing employee benefit programs, labor relations, risk management, equal opportunity, compliance and employment training.
She also oversees the development, implementation and coordination of HR practices and policies for Kane County government and its more than 1,300 employees.
Lobrillo already has taken steps to streamline the onboarding process for new employees, which will reduce the amount of paperwork between departments.
She also has made organizational changes to increase efficiencies among current HR employees, and plans to expand the training elements offered by Human Resources to all county offices.
“The Human Resource Department is here to support other county departments and their staff,” Lobrillo said. “We will continue to look for innovative ways to do that more effectively. I enjoy working with staff and management to create policies and practices that work for everyone.”
Lobrillo earned a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and a paralegal certification from Elgin Community College.
Her appointment was confirmed by the Kane County Board on Jan. 14, 2022.
