The 2022 “Green Guide,” which is updated annually by the Kane County Division of Environmental Resources, is now available online.
This year, the Kane County Division of Environmental and Water Resources has produced a condensed version of the annual Green Guide. It is now eight pages instead of the 16-page book it had become.
“By making it more succinct and targeted specifically at Kane County programs, we have minimized costs but maintained the impact,” officials said in an e-blast.
The printed publication is paid for through an annual grant from the Grand Victoria Riverboat Fund. Fewer printed pages saves money by reducing the costs for paper, printing and postage.
Paper copies of the Green Guide will be available at a variety of city hall, public works and government sites in communities throughout Kane County after Jan. 21. If you are on the Kane County Recycles mailing list for a paper copy, you should receive it by the first week of January.
All of the information provided in the guide is also online. Click here to download a copy, where you’ll find information on how to recycle just about anything in Kane County.
