KDOT Announces 2021 Consultant of the Year Award

The Kane County Division of Transportation announced the 2021 Consultant of the Year award during last week’s Kane County Board Transportation Committee meeting. This is the seventh year that a consultant has been honored for their work with the county.

The 2021 Consultant of the Year went to V3 Companies in Woodridge for their work on the Kirk Road at Dunham Road intersection reconstruction improvement project.

“V3’s Resident Engineer, Sean Ludwig, has gone beyond what we commonly expect in a resident engineer, by effectively addressing multiple field issues while also aggressively streamlining logistics with the general contractor,” said Steve Coffinbargar, assistant director of transportation at KDOT.

KDOT officials say this keen attention to detail and scheduling resulted in a logical and organized progression of work, saving time and money.

“Sean is a practical and talented construction professional and has added value to other county projects in the past, including portions of the Longmeadow Parkway Corridor,” Coffinbargar added.

KDOT officials say the Kane County is fortunate to have had his expertise once again and his vital contribution to the success of this important project.
