Kane County’s Fabyan Parkway Recycling Center Adds Saturday-Morning Hours, Starting Oct. 30

Kane County announced today that as of Oct. 30, 2021, the recycling center at 517 E. Fabyan Parkway in Batavia will once again be open on Saturday mornings!

The Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to noon.

The Saturday-morning hours are in addition to the regular 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. hours Monday through Friday and offer an opportunity for those who cannot get to the recycling center during the week.

The Kane County recycling centers in West Dundee and Aurora will continue to maintain Monday-through-Friday hours, as always. Those centers do NOT have any weekend hours at this point.

Recycling Center Details

Aurora, VetTech

  • Location: 911 N. Lake St., Aurora. Located at the old Specialty Textile​ Group building). Drivers should turn down the driveway on the east side of Lake Street, across from Northgate Shopping Center)​.
  • Hours: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday

Batavia – Fabyan Parkway

  • Location: 517 E. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia, IL 60510​
  • Hours: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, starting Oct. 30, 2021.

West Dundee Public Works​ ​

  • Location: 900 Angle Tarn, West Dundee
  • Hours: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday

Items Accepted at Recycling Centers ​

Costs

There is a fee to recycle monitors of all types — flat screen or glass tube — and televisions of all types and all ages — flat screen or glass tube. All other electronics, books, textiles scrap metal as listed above can be recycled for free.

The fees are:

  • $25 for screens less than 21 inches (measured diagonally)
  • $35 for screens 21 inches or more (measured diagonally)
