St. Charles attorney Todd Wallace was sworn in Tuesday (July 13, 2021) as the newest member of the Kane County Board.
Wallace, who represents Kane County District 13, was welcomed during a brief swearing-in ceremony at Tuesday’s full Kane County Board meeting.
Wallace was selected via a Kane County District 13 Search Committee, chaired by Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns, and appointed by Kane County Board Chair Corinne Pierog with the approval of the board.
He replaces Steve Weber, who resigned the County Board seat after being elected as 5th Ward alderman in St. Charles.
Burns said the committee met twice and interviewed many qualified candidates. He described the selection committee process as “spirted, respectful and thorough discussion.”
Wallace is a vice president and trust officer of the State Bank of Geneva and former owner of the Wallace Law Group in Geneva. He has served as chairman of the St. Charles Plan Commission and as St. Charles Township trustee.
“I’m very proud to recommend the unanimous choice of Mr. Todd Wallace to fill the vacancy on the board,” Burns said. “I look forward to working with Todd, and I’m confident he will carry out the mission and vision of Kane County.”
A resolution regarding Wallace’s appointment, his introductory letter and his resume can be viewed online on pages 7-11 of the Kane County Board agenda packet.
His photo and contact information will be posted on this page of the Kane County website.
Wallace said he looks forward to serving the residents of District 13, which includes parts of Geneva and St. Charles.
