Hey, 12- to 17-year-olds! How about this for a deal?
You take part (or just go visit) a FREE Youth Fishing Derby sponsored by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. You get vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine. And you get TWO FREE TICKETS TO SIX FLAGS GREAT AMERICA!
The Kane County Health Department will provide COVID vaccines from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Free Youth Fishing Derby at Jericho Lake Park, 39W365 Jericho Road in Aurora.
All youths ages 12 to 17 receiving the Pfizer vaccine will receive two free tickets to Six Flags Great America Theme Park in Gurnee, IL. Minors under the age of 18 must bring a signed Pfizer consent form by their parental guardian to receive the COVID vaccine.
KCHD will have all of the COVID vaccines — Janssen, Moderna and Pfizer — available for administration. Vaccinations are available for all persons 12 and older.

About the Fishing Derby
Enjoy a day of fishing with family, food, and prizes! The Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Fox Valley Park District welcomes all ages and skill levels to attend this FREE family-friendly event.
Prizes will be awarded to youth participants by age group and free hot dogs and beverages will be served.
