Operation Snowball Is Back! Two In-Person, Life Changing Events For High School Students Set For July 17 And July 18

After a two-year hiatus, Operation Snowball is excited to host its first in-person event!

The Greater Fox River Valley Operation Snowball Chapter — a teen leadership group spreading awareness about mental health and drug prevention — is sponsoring two, one-day events on July 17 and July 18, 2021, for area high school students who will provide opportunities for participants to learn facts about the issues that face young people today. All of this is mixed with a lot of fun activities and alternatives that allow people to learn in positive, exciting ways.

“Having these events helps empower our teens and allows them to receive training and experience in leadership and prevention,” says club sponsor Tim Baker. “These Snowball events also can be life-changing and life-saving as teens learn to find their voice.”

The first event, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at Kaneland Meredith Auxiliary building, 1N137 Meredith Road in Maple Park, is open to any high-school-age students interested in Operation Snowball.

The second event, set for 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 18, at the Kaneland Meredith Auxiliary building, is Operation Snowball leadership training.

Operation Snowball fosters an environment where you can grow as a leader, meet new people, and be immersed in a community with like-minded people who share the same values of healthy lifestyles.
