Kane County Health Department Update: Carpentersville Area Vaccination Center Opens May 7

A new Kane County Health Department vaccination site will open Friday, May 7, in the Carpentersville area.

According to a Kane County Health Department news release, the new Kane-SpringHill Mall Vax site located at 1072 Spring Hill Mall, West Dundee, will be open from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

Residents can visit KaneVax.org and click on the Kane-SpringHillMallVax link to register for an appointment.

Johnson & Johnson’s (Janssen) COVID-19 vaccine will return to the vaccination centers this week. Federal health officials have lifted the pause on use of the J&J vaccine.

States are resuming distribution of the J&J vaccine, accompanied by a warning about rare complications involving blood clots.

No one from Kane County has experienced a bad reaction to the J&J vaccine.
