Join Fox Valley Sustainability Network For an April 30 Forum on Equity And Sustainability

Join the Fox Valley Sustainability Network at 10 a.m. Friday, April 30, for and important forum on equity and sustainability.

“We welcome you to join the conversation and learn more about how equity is intertwined in sustainability work within the Fox Valley,” organizers said in a news release.

This webinar will discuss regional data linking equity issues and sustainability while looking at specific programs and strategies for advancing equity and sustainability simultaneously. The session will feature:

  • Regional data and findings from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning
  • Elevate Energy programs that address flood mitigation and energy efficiency in response to the economic burden placed on low-to-moderate income residents and people of color as a result of the climate crisis
  • Local municipal initiatives that address financial burdens resulting from the climate crisis

Speakers include:

  • Nora Beck, senior planner of plan implementation and legislative affairs, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning
  • Vetia Hill, community resource coordinator, Elevate
  • Amanda Gramigna, associate director of environmental health, Elevate
  • Carrie Donohoe, project manager of environmental health, Elevate
  • Jerad Chipman, senior planner, village of Montgomery
