Ecker To Host April 17 ‘Sale of Sales’ To Help Those Struggling With Mental Health

Ecker Center for Behavioral Health will be hosting a “Sale of Sales” from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at Ecker Center, 1845 Grandstand Place, Elgin.

“Mark your calendars with surety because the sale will take place rain or shine,” said Kay Catlin, fundraising manager for Ecker Center. “Our intention is to have an outdoor sale, but we have the capacity indoors as well.”

All proceeds from the sale will benefit the programs and services offered at Ecker Center.

According to Catlin, this is not your basic yard sale.

“If anything, it’s more like an estate sale,” she said. “We’ve got furniture, lamps, antiques, original art, home décor items, exquisite Christmas decorations, crafts and more. Best of all, it’s all good, use-now stuff.”

There will be no sales prior to 8 a.m. April 17, and buyers will have to arrange for pick-up and delivery themselves. Admission is free.

“Between staff and community donations we have something for everyone — even a vintage Seth Thomas 30-hour spring clock.  If you’re furnishing a new home or apartment, this sale is a must for you.”
