Sign Up Quickly For ‘Mass Vax Aurora’ Clinic Monday, March 8, at Jewel

The city of Aurora and the Kane County Health Department are hosting a mass vaccination clinic Monday at Jewel-Osco in Aurora, but if you want to get on the list, you have to be a resident of Aurora and you have to act fast.

The city is holding the “Mass Vax Aurora” clinic Monday for residents in specific categories in keeping with the state’s Phase 1B rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Registration will open this weekend on a first-come, first-served basis.

You can receive a vaccine if you are an Aurora resident in any of the following categories:

  • AGE: 65 years and older
  • OCCUPATION: Healthcare, First Responder, Education, Food & Agriculture, Manufacturing, Corrections Worker, U.S. Postal Service, Public Transit Worker, Grocery Store Worker, Shelters/Adult Day Care
  • MEDICAL CONDITION: Diabetes, Obesity, Pulmonary Diseases, Smoking, Heart Conditions, Chronic Kidney Disease, Cancer, Immunocompromised, Sickle Cell, Pregnancy, Person with a Disability

Officials say there is limited availability of Pfizer vaccines.

The clinic is being hosted by the city of Aurora in partnership with Jewel-Osco and the Kane County Health Department.
