Aurora Mass Vax Set For Saturday, March 13, For First 2,000 Residents Who Register

The event might be sold out by the time you read this, but Aurora residents who are eligible under Phase 1B should take note that the city of Aurora is holding mass vaccinations for Aurora residents this weekend, and you should sign up to receive timely updates on future events.

In partnership with Walgreens, the city of Aurora is hosting another MASS VAX AURORA COMMUNITY VACCINATION CLINIC on Saturday, March 13.

The one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available to AURORA RESIDENTS in qualifying categories. (See below.)

Registration began at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 10. The first 2,000 AURORA RESIDENTS can sign-up to receive the registration link at www.aurora-il.org/MassVaxAurora.

The MassVaxAurora web page offers a sign-up list to receive the link to register for the clinic. This is not the actual registration nor confirmation for an appointment.

You can receive a vaccine if you are an Aurora resident in any of the following categories:

  • AGE: 65 years and older
  • OCCUPATION: Healthcare, First Responder, Education, Food & Agriculture, Manufacturing, Corrections Worker, U.S. Postal Service, Public Transit Worker, Grocery Store Worker, Shelters/Adult Day Care
  • MEDICAL CONDITION: Diabetes, Obesity, Pulmonary Diseases, Smoking, Heart Conditions, Chronic Kidney Disease, Cancer, Immunocompromised, Sickle Cell, Pregnancy, Person with a Disability,

Officials emphasize there is limited availability of the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Senior Citizens Can Call

Senior Citizens without access to the internet can call for registration assistance. Appointments are limited in availability. The phone line opens at 8 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2021.  

The phone number is 630-256-3015.

  • Callers should follow instructions on the voicemail.
  • Calls will be responded to based on order they are received.
  • Calls will be responded to if appointments are still available.
  • Calls received before 8 a.m. Thursday, March 11, will not be prioritized.
  • Based on appointment availability, there are no guarantees for appointment confirmations.
