The Kane County Division of Transportation is reminding residents that the deadline to is fast approaching provide feedback on the Randall Over 90 Planning and Environmental Linkage analysis.
KDOT officials held a live, virtual public information meeting presentation on Feb. 4, 2021, and have since provided feedback to KDOT and the project team. A YouTube video from the virtual public information meeting is embedded above and available here on the project website.
The PEL analysis evaluates potential improvements to Randall Road between Big Timber Road and IL 72, with particular focus on its interchange with I-90 (the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway). KDOT has developed an online survey to help residents provide information that will be invaluable in determining the project’s future.
The survey asks a number of multiple-choice and rating-scale questions, such as the one below:
1. Using a scale from 0 to 4, with 4 for strongly support, 2 for neutral and 0 for strongly oppose, please rate the following potential improvement concepts for the South End (Big Timber Road to Westfield Drive) based on your preference.
To view more information about the concepts in this segment, review the Concepts Under Consideration document here.
All surveys and comments must be received by Friday, March 5, 2021, to be included in the official meeting documentation.
“Please also forward this email to those you think would be interested in the project and providing feedback,” KDOT officials said in a news release. “Your input is important! The public input score is based on survey responses, so a wide diversity of respondents will help KDOT better understand the community’s position on each concept.”
The Randall Road/I-90 corridor is divided into three segments and a variety of potential improvement concepts has been developed for each segment. More detailed descriptions of each concept are available on the project website, www.RandallOver90.com/resources.
KDOT has begun evaluating these potential improvement concepts based on the evaluation criteria. Your input is one of the factors KDOT considers as this project moves forward.
