COVID-19 KANE COUNTY: 60 New Cases; 1 Man Dies in His 60s; Test Positivity Drops To 4.4%; 1,100 New Vaccinations

60 New Cases; 1 Additional Death Is Man in His 60s; Test Positivity Drops To 4.4%; 1,100 New Vaccinations

Kane County’s seven-day day rolling rate continued to drop, the numbers of new cases and deaths related to the coronavirus were low, and vaccinations increased today.

Kane County’s seven-day rolling average is down to 4.4% for the period from Feb. 16 to Feb. 22. That compares to 3.0% statewide and 4.1% for Kane-DuPage Region 8.

According to data posted today by the Illinois Department of Public Health, Kane County added 60 new cases and one new death. The death was a man in his 60s.

To date, Kane County has recorded 50,242 confirmed cases and 708 deaths related to the virus.

Kane County vaccinations increased by 1,100 since the previous day, for a total of 72,640.
