The American flag is displayed proudly on the Kane County government homepage, thanks to the talented grade-school students in school districts throughout the county.

Kane County Board Madam Chair Corinne Pierog and Kane County Regional Office of Education Superintendent Pat Dal Santo reached out to local teachers, parents and students with a request to submit student drawings of the American flag, which the county will display during online County Board meetings as board members and viewers recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

The first four student drawings — from Lily Lake Grade School, Kaneland’s John Stewart Elementary School, Liberty Elementary School in Carpentersville and Louise White School in Batavia — have been received and are presently displayed at the top of the Kane County website homepage at countyofkane.org.
