Calling all grade school artists! (And their teachers and parents!)
Kane County Board Madam Chairman Corinne Pierog is looking for drawings of American flags to be displayed during virtual board meetings each month — and she’s asking for your your help!
Part of the agenda at each monthly meeting of the full County Board is to say the Pledge of Allegiance. But because the meetings are online, the county needs a way to display the flag.
If your artwork is selected, the county will display your drawing for the world (or at least, the people of Kane County, IL) to see.
The opportunity is open to any kindergarten through fifth-grade student who attends school in Kane County, IL.
Here’s what you (or your teacher) needs to do to submit your artwork:
Requirements for Submission
- Must be done on an 8.5 by 11 piece of paper horizontally.
- Submit drawings only. (No digital entries, please,)
- Entries must be submitted only from elementary students (K-5)
- All entries must include:
- Student’s name.
- Student’s grade
- Student’s school building.
Entries must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org<mailto:email@example.com> and can be submitted as a scanned PDF or a photo image.
