Batavia Park District Reopens Recreational Programming — Check Here For Updates From Other Local Park Districts

The Batavia Park District posted a news release Wednesday (Jan. 20, 2021) saying it is reopening recreational programming.

The announcement follows state of Illinois action to move Region 8 (Kane and DuPage counties) into Tier 2 mitigations, which allows park district facilities to reopen for recreational programming.

“We are excited to welcome you back!” Batavia Park District officials said in a news release.

Registered participants will be contacted with specific program updates. Face masks must be worn properly while in Park District facilities.

With the move to Tier 2, several local park districts in Kane County are reopening programs. Scroll down for links to park district websites in your neck of the woods.

Bulldog Crimson/Gold Camp

The remote learning camp returns on Monday, Jan. 25. Half-day and full-day options are available for every family’s schedule.

In-Person Fitness Classes

Fitness classes will return in-person on Monday, Feb. 1. Virtual classes will continue as planned, and those registered for in-person classes can join that week.

All Star Sports

Jr. Soccer, Jr. Parent Tot Sports, Jr. Basketball, and more return starting Saturday, Jan. 23. Spots remain for these classes; view the schedule here.

Offices

Park District offices will reopen on Monday, Jan. 25. The Civic Center and Eastside Community Center office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, Park District residents can call or text 630-879-5235 or email registrations@bataviaparks.org.
