
Kane/DuPage Region 8 Put on Tier 2 Mitigations
Kane/DuPage Region 8 will go on Tier 2 mitigation rules following an announcement at today’s 2:30 p.m. news conference by Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Public Health.

According to the IDPH, Region 8’s seven-day test positivity rate is up to 13.7%.
Region 8 will be joined by Region 5 (counties in the southern tip of Illinois) and Region 7 (Will and Kankakee counties) when Tier 2 mitigations go into effect at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11.
Region 1 (Northeastern Illinois) has been on Tier 2 mitigations since Oct. 25.
Some of the Tier 2 mitigations are a limit of 10 people in any meeting, restrictions in sports and recreation and tighter hours for bars and restaurants.

“As we turn toward cooler weather, we may have a real problem on our hands,” Pritzker said Monday.
