A local financial company has donated $3,000 to the village of Campton Hills for public safety purposes.

Michael Bartow and Mike Kramer of the North Aurora Country Financial office presented Village President Michael Tyrrell, with a check on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, from Country Financial’s Operation Helping Heroes program.

“This is a wonderful and unexpected gift during these unusual times. We greatly appreciate Mike Bartow and Mike Kramer for thinking of the village in their generosity,” Tyrrell said.

Millar said the donation will go to upgrading and replacing essential equipment.

“We are a small department with a small budget, so we work very hard to make every dollar count,” Millar said.

Country Financial’s Operation Helping Heroes program is devoted to helping buy equipment and supplies for first responders, medical workers, and military service members.

In April 2020, Country Financial announced donating more than $3 million through the Operation Helping Heroes program. Operation Helping Heroes was created in 2015 to support non-profit organization that support active duty service members, veterans and their family members.

The program was expanded in 2019 to include first responders and medical workers.
